The guy I used was too expensive, but if the fellow at Gateshead is still around he was doing good work at the right price and does plastic welding as well. i can't recall the name of the business, just where it is (Metro Business Park)

The guy Fathead used to respray his bike is MJ's Motorcycle repairs at Gateshead. I also used him for a minor fairing repair and re-paint. He was a good price and did a good job.

Lots to do yet I know, but make sure you paint the inside of the rear hub before final fitting. I think white will not be very practical as you will get chain lube and dirt in there, but a matt black would finish it off well. My 2c anyway.
Some nice valve stems when you get your next lot of tyres would look good too.
I spent a lot of time on my original wheels (not on the bike now) removing the cast marks with a file and sand paper before polishing them. The rims were pretty rough and it was a lot of work, but it helps with the final finish. Not so important with powdercoat though I suppose. It is a good tough finish and easy to clean too.

I thought I would add some follow up thoughts. One aspect I would highly advise is that you fit some brake rotors to the wheels. I really like the cleaner look without them, but it is getting difficult to find shops that re-sole boots these days. A rear sprocket could also be a good mod. I agree with Shayne that they do get a little messy, but pushing the bike up hills takes a little of the gloss off on a weekend ride.

BUT as this is a custom build/work in progress, they will come with time and when im up to it on my "to do" list...BUT (again) if your willing to splash some $$$ this way i will purchase these items so you can sleep better knowing i can stop and also ride rather than push on the hills.. but thanks for the feedback.. As for the white....well i had an idea in my head what i wanted and unfortunately ive hit the nail on the head, its spot on to what i wanted. wayne xoxo

ok, more pics... Next on the list was the front sprocket cover and rear sets, having already put the sprocket cover on, it was time for the rearsets. The outcome i think was good, and worth the $$ spent IMHO. The feel is much better thn std, (25mm up and 35mm back) and the pegs feel more aggresive. I was happy with the look of the sprocket cover also, and when my chain and sprocket kit turns up will look even better i think.. ;D

G'day Wayne what type of set up are you going to have for your pipes. I been pondering on this for some time now (just ask Cheeky, im sure he is sick to death of my emails about this by now lol) Ive wanted to stick with the twins to keep that mean aggresive look....But....after playing around today making some templates for in-fill panels on the front of the subframe, im going to have to grind down the threaded bolt holes for the pillion pegs/exhaust hangers to fit the plates....SO... i have decided to go with a low mounted single on the R/H side. So now to find what i want..needs to be short 250-300mm...

Have you looked at austsales-direct? He's the guy from the central coast who's stuff is always on the bottom of the page on the ebay motorbike stuff (I dunno, a sponsor or something. I'm not a computer geek so I dont know the correct terminology) He's got shorty carbon cans for $249. They're 250mm long and come with mounting bracket (did I mention they are only $249?). No idea how loud they would be, but you have access to a decent welder (Gitzy I mean) who could probably bodge up a removable baffle for rego purposes (like the one Staintune supply with their cans).
Russ ;D

Yep that's the one. A while back he had a couple of different ones in carbon, and a Ti shorty as well. Doesnt look like the Ti one is still available tho.

You, erno, are a champ.
I don't care (too much) what VTRfighter does, but thanks for that link. My next exhaust is likely to come from there.

You could Shorten the IXIL (which is the nicer of the 2 IMHO) and given that the ends look pretty thick could probably use SS dome top bolts rather than rivets like I did on my exhaust.
